Product Overview
PTN8500 equipment is designed to efficiently carry TDM, ATM and IP services over next-generation packet-based and IP-oriented metro transport networks. Based on the emerging MPLS-TP standards, PTN8500 offers the same resiliency with traditional TDM networks; it provides network synchronization over packet networks and enables carriers to offer new services with guaranteed QoS and SLA enforcement.
PTN8500 is a MPLS-TP based aggregation device with full duplex and redundant 108Gbps switching fabric. It has a highly modular architecture and supports redundancy for all critical modules, offering a true carrier class aggregation solution. It provides a wide range of client interfaces and high capacity network interfaces to optimize capital expenditures. Available in a 4U chassis, PTN8500 offers E1, STM1 (ATM, CES, POS), FE, GE, 10GE interfaces, etc., and provides comprehensive OAM management functions and end-to-end management of all services, as well as a variety of SDH-like quick protections. Product Overview
PTN5401 equipment is a small PTN product designed for edge applications. It can seamlessly carry TDM and Ethernet traffic on a packet core using Circuit Emulation Services (CES) over next-generation packet-based and IP-oriented metro transport networks. Based on the emerging MPLS-TP standards, PTN5401 offers the same resiliency with traditional TDM networks; it provides network synchronization over packet networks and enables carriers to offer new services with guaranteed QoS and SLA enforcement.
As a MPLS-TP based compact customer edge device, PTN5401 is ideally suited for backhaul of legacy/next-generation wireless traffic, managed enterprise network traffic as well as other data-centric applications. PTN5401 comes in a 1U package and supports a 5Gbps switching fabric. Interfaces supported on the PTN5401 include E1, FE, 100Base-FX, and GE. It provides comprehensive OAM management functions and end-to-end management of all services, as well as a variety of SDH-like quick protections.
